Shaun Paul

Last night I checked the mailbox and was excited to see that my Shaun Paul CD's arrived, but unfortunately the trip from Seattle most have been to exhausting. Imagining my CD's being put under a ton of Christmas presents and possibly Cliff from Cheers sitting on them. Luckily Shaun Paul isn't just a talented cello player but a kind individual who provides great service for his customers. While playing piano all my life and taking lessons for 16 years I learned to appreciate a diversified array of music. I selected his new release of "Hope" from his latest CD for my homepage.

Rocky Balboa

Everyone was geared up for Rocky Balboa. Noone more so than DJ, seen here dressed as a look-a-like. Getting together with everyone is nice and the temperature dropped slightly for a little Christmas spirit. We started off at TGiF's and ended up at the theatre with perfect seats and lots of popcorn and m&m's. The movie honestly was good but spending time with everyone was more important. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Glad to all that made the movie. From left to right are: Britt, Eli, DJ, Dan, Stacy, myself.
Below is a photo of Mills and I. We actually are both training and have a bench press competition against one another. Mills if you remember was a Regional Burrito Eating Champion this summer for the Moe's Restaurant franchise. He is a lot stronger than I, but wanted to challenge him at his weakest state, The competition will take place at Performance Quest on Woodruff Road on April 2nd, 2007.

Cade's Birthday

Cade's 8th Birthday was today and we headed up to my mom and dad's lake house. Cade had a wonderful time. His birthday is last in the year making him ready and anxious. I wanted to post this video to my journal so that when Cade gets older he can look back on it and enjoy the memories. At the end of the video Cade gives a shout out to some of his friends at school.

Speaking of Birthday's my mothers 59th birthday is on New Years Day 2007. She doesn't look her age and I am so glad that she is in great health. Okinawan's live longer than anyone else in the world. So I expect mom to be around for a long long time. Stay tuned for more video at mom's BDAY party.

Christmas Cards

I have been absolutely busy these last several weeks. The Christmas rush has finally come to an end and I have almost finished with all the orders. I really want to thank all my customers who have made this year brilliant. I look forward to another year of capturing and documenting great moments.

Print Competitions

"WEDDING INK"

I am entering a couple of print competitions and have decide on my best of 2006. One of the images was from September 9th, 2006 at the Kilgore-Lewis House. While shooting this beautiful outdoor wedding for Forest and Jamie something spectacular took place. Here is the caption I submitted with the print. "Toward the end of the reception the groom took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves. While he gently embraces his bride for a slow dance, there seems to be two separate and noticeable energies. A contrast between the tattoos and the softness and purity of the dress." Believe it or not, I haven't entered a print competition before, but really wanted to expand my credentials against other professional photographers in the world. I'll keep everyone updated as to my success or short comings with the competition. Wish me luck.

Lunch at Rafferty's

I went to Lunch yesterday with several ladies, one of which is my new Graphic Designer Jill Roberts.

I have been working so hard on the new website, new blog, color pallette and logo design. Jill is assisting me in business cards, letterhead, and other stationary. The logo I created will also make t-shirts, cups, pens, hats, and bags. Ever since my New York visit I have been on a misson to create a site that expresses my storytelling approach to weddings. The photo of Jill and I collaborating was taking by Sarai Lively. Another dear friend, who is a fantastic interior designer. Photos of Sarai's interior design will soon follow.
