I was blessed to have met and photographed Mia & Shane's wedding. It was absolutely remarkable. The weather was perfect for a January wedding and the entire night was bliss. The story of Shane and Mia is one I will remember for a long time. As you know I grew up playing the piano and at the very end of the reception I was waiting on the caterers to finishing moving their vehicles so I could get a shot of the reception hall. There was a piano at the end of the hall and I began to play. Mia peeked around the corner and was pleasantly surprised. I began to play "Faithfully" by Journey and after the second verse Mia grabbed Shane and they began to slow dance. I started thinking "OMG don't mess up". You see this was Mia and Shane's first dance as husband and wife. They elected to eliminate some of the traditional particulars and kept the reception simple yet classy. Okay so I quickly changed my piano posture and finished out the remainder of the song as they danced. I solely concentrated on the playing, but heard the brushing of Mia's wedding dress against the hardwoods as it swayed across the hall. I didn't use my peripheral vision when I heard hints of kisses. After the moment ended I didn't say anything, but inside I was absolutely melting. That was such a private and intimate moment. Mia & Shane you guys are wonderful. This was a perfect opening for 2007. Have fun on the HONEYMOON!!!!
